Simone Veil student residence, Paris – France. AAVP Architecture

The Résidence Simone Veil, designed by AAVP Architecture in Paris, is a student housing project that offers a thoughtful urban and architectural transition within its district. With 190 apartments, this residence is crafted to blend into its environment with a facade featuring horizontal layers: a glass-based ground level, three floors of larchwood cladding, and a top floor of drilled aluminum sheets, creating a rhythmic exterior that avoids the monolithic look often associated with student housing.

The interior of the building is just as meticulously designed, with compact apartments ranging from 20 to 40 square meters, each comprising an entrance with a kitchenette, a living room, and a bathroom. The residence also features common rooms for work and leisure to foster interaction among students
