Pierre Châtel-Innocenti - Photographe d'Architecture

Artistic photography

I have always been fascinated by architecture and its place - often unrecognized - in our daily lives. It's the beauty of lines and forms in the service of an idea ... inscribed in reality.  I often feel a strong emotion when my eyes are attracted by this play of light and shadow on a facade in front of which I have already passed, but that day takes a completely different dimension; or then face the overwhelming feeling at the foot of a gigantic office tower.

Before becoming a photographer, I worked as an engineer for many years, but I aspired to something else. My quest for meaning and creativity, which I missed so much in my day to day work, found a culmination in photography. I also found a way to transcribe and communicate these emotions!

That's all I want now to convey to you through these shots. To achieve this without artifice, I use a visually refined style. In some cases, I will even use a facade as a raw visual material that I transform and retransform to get a new image.

This page presents my work in art photography in the form of 4 collections: 'Lost Utopias' - a collection on raw concrete and the great ensembles of past decades; 'Contrasts' - which puts the emphasis on light and volumes; 'REmix' - which diverts the facades from their original geometry to give them a new life; and finally, 'Minimalism' - which promotes simplicity of form and neutral tones.

All these photographs are available in the form of limited edition prints. Contact me for any order!

Lost Utopias

A collection on raw concrete and the great ensembles of past decades.

Contrasts

A collection that puts the emphasis on light and volumes. Ideal to bring a touch of modernity to an interior.

REmix

A collection that diverts the facades of their original geometry to give them a new life. The most graphic of all these series, it will bring movement and dynamism to your decoration.

Minimalism

A collection that promotes simplicity of form and neutral tones. A selection full of zen and serenity, all in simplicity.
